WHAT IS SOUND
THERAPY

Sound therapy is a healing technique that uses music, tones, frequencies, and vibrations to promote the well-being of an individual's emotional, mental, psychological, and spiritual health. It has been found to be effective in enhancing memory, alleviating stress, and reducing pain and anxiety. Sound therapy can be performed in various ways, including the use of instruments or therapist-guided sounds. Certain aspects of sounds and music can improve our physical and emotional health by promoting relaxation, boosting memory and focus, and strengthening our immune system.

Vibroacoustic therapy is a specific type of sound therapy

What is vibroacoustic therapy? How does it work?

Vibroacoustic therapy, also known as vibroacoustic sound therapy or VAS therapy, is a therapeutic intervention that uses vibrational energy from low-frequency sound waves to provide relief from physical pain and emotional stress. The vibrations created by sound waves are said to penetrate deeply into the body and stimulate cells and organ systems to promote balance within the body. Unlike other forms of treatment, such as massage or acupuncture, vibroacoustic therapy does not require direct contact with the body – instead, it relies on sound waves to create its effects. This makes it an ideal choice for those who are looking for a non-invasive way to address their health concerns. Additionally, vibroacoustic therapy can be used alone or alongside conventional medical treatments for optimal results. Vibroacoustic therapy has been found to be effective in treating conditions such as chronic pain, anxiety and depression while also improving overall wellbeing.

Sound therapy offers a powerful and uplifting approach to healing and personal growth. By harnessing the potential of music, tones, and vibrations, individuals can experience profound relaxation, emotional healing, and physical well-being. This technology will be tailored to meet your unique needs and foster your journey toward holistic health and happiness.

WHAT IS A SESSION LIKE

Our VAT (Vibroacoustic therapy )mat is fitted with four low-frequency transducers controlled by a computer. The frequency, embedded in its accompanying music, is transferred to the body. During the session, you can choose to use headphones to benefit from the embedded binaural beats for brain entrainment and relaxation.

The mat is placed upon a reiki/ massage table.  It's thick, contoured, and very comfortable. During the session, you'll be listening to and feeling the frequencies that best fit your needs. Of course, you do not need to listen to the music if you don't want to.

For deeper healing:

Some of our frequencies are also in a video format. For example, while you're listening to the sound of a waterfall, you could watch the screen above you showing a waterfall.

We also offer a form of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) during sessions. For example, one would watch the screen while they repeat their affirmation during a session. It is believed this will help better instill and set an affirmation into your being

Your session can be integrated with reiki therapy.
